Lord Ivan Vorpatril is a lieutenant in the Barrayan Imperial Service currently serving in Ops. As of May 2016, Ivan will be mainly played from earlier in his timeline beginning with prior to Brothers at Arms when he's about age 25 and then moving through the books. The major change is that he will both be younger and in uniform more often. The older version of Ivan will still appear in OOMs and by request in Milliways.

He is the ideal of a Barrayan lord, tall (6'1") with dark hair, olive skin and normally wears a uniform such as his undress greens which he fits beautifully. A detailed description of the uniforms can be found here. Most of the time when he enters, Ivan will be wearing one of his uniforms unless otherwise noted. Normally he will also be carrying a military stunner which looks like a small gun. His uniforms are fairly simple, the only two that require special description are his dress greens as they include knee high cavalry boots and his dress uniform that is blue and red with boots and two swords.

As a member of the Barrayan Imperial Service and of the High Vor, Ivan tends to act in a military or courtly manner, he loves to flirt but not to commit. He has an accent that sounds slightly European as the languages of Barrayar are Russian, French and Greek though with specific dialects due to the length of time since Barrayarans lived on Earth. As of May 2016, he will be behind both Cordelia and Simon, though he will appear in OOMs with them. If your character knew the older version, get in touch with me, I'm comfortable with them remembering him but he won't know them.
